BRP-Rotax’ latest aircraft engine development, the Rotax 915 iS aircraft engine was awarded with the German aviation magazine aerokurier’s Innovation Award “powertrain of the future” during the AERO Friedrichshafen, the largest trade show for general aviation in Europe.

BRP-Rotax informed about the latest development steps on the Rotax 915 iS, a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder turbocharged aircraft engine with intercooler and redundant fuel injection system during the press conference at the AERO Friedrichshafen, the largest trade show for general aviation in Europe.

According to tradition, there will be Rotax Familiarization Training sessions at the AERO 2017 in Friedrichshafen.

During the Sun ‘n Fun International Fly-In & Expo 2017 in Florida, U.S.A., the Rotax Flying and Safety Club (RFSC) and BRP-Rotax are offering information sessions conducted by experienced RFSC instructors at the 2017 Sun 'n Fun free of charge.

BRP-Rotax received the Type Acceptance for the ROTAX 912 S2 engine in India.

Last year, BRP and its Rotax brand celebrated 40 years of Rotax aircraft engines and launched a contest that ended on December 31, 2015 to find the oldest certified Rotax aircraft engine in operation.

The Rotax brand is successful on the market for 95 years, which since June 15, 2016 is also reflected in the company name! BRP-Powertrain GmbH & Co KG became BRP-Rotax GmbH & Co KG.

The 912 engine has become an industrial standard in experimental and light aviation and training ensures proper use and maintenance practices

With 606 companies from around the world and 30,800 visitors the AERO Friedrichshafen 2016 took place from April 20-23, 2016. It was the first time that BRP-Rotax presented the Rotax 915 iS aircraft engine in Europe.
